Sustainability: Recycling End-of-Line Polystyrene Wall Protection Our commitment to product safety and protection extends to using robust, high-quality packaging for both storage and transportation. Large industrial rolls of various sizes are packed in sturdy cardboard boxes and secured at the top and bottom with pure polystyrene (PS) end caps. Fully assembled packaging can withstand up to 70 kg, emphasizing the importance of durable packaging materials. This durability also facilitates recycling, as high-quality PS elements show minimal or no damage during transportation. 'This is why we're exploring a circularity program for polystyrene end-of-line protection,' says Markus Neugart, Head of Packaging Development. Experience shows that the rejection rate during sorting of used end-of-line products is below 5%.
