ASICS Glideride Tokyo Running Shoes The GLIDERIDE Tokyo shoe helps you run longer while expending less energy. Featuring a limited model offering, this iteration is displayed with a Sunrise Red colorway to symbolize and celebrate the city of Tokyo and the country of Japan. Knit Upper Knit uppers will swathe you in breathable comfort. Ensuring lightweight support, the upper adapts to the changing shape of your foot as you move through the gait cycle; supplying you with an abundance of comfort and structure. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Supplying flexible support, the knit works to increase ventilation and eradicate the build-up of sweat which is unavoidable during exercise. Sweat and moisture are wicked away from the feet leaving you feeling fresh and ready to clock up the miles in extreme comfort. The upper is thin, lightweight, soft and sits close to your foot, but it still provides a secure and substantial feel for wear all day, all year, almost anywhere. The adaptive fit works together with the discrete eyelets and clutch counter to provide a secure locked-in fit. The clutch counter provides an optimum fit and increased support for the lower ankle; by locking in the heel whilst a seamless fit reduces the risks of chafing for a comfortable irritation-free fit. Lastly, a traditional lacing system cradles the midfoot for a locked-down fit. Glidesole Midsole The midsole of the GlideRide has been constructed using Glidesole technology which that works with a stiff forefoot to increase running efficiency by reducing 16.1% the energy loss at the ankle joint. The bottom layer of the Glidesole midsole is made from FF Propel whilst Top layer is FlyteFoam in a high-density composition to keep the stiffness required.
